The National Schools' Handwriting Competition 2008

Welcome to the satips

National Schools' Handwriting Competition

The 2008 competition is now closed

The National Schools' Handwriting Competition run by satips in partnership with John Catt Educational Ltd.

This national competition offers all 4 - 14 year olds the opportunity to show off their handwriting and provides the opportunity for teachers and individual pupils to ensure handwriting continues to be an essential part of our educational process. For a teacher, competition is a great way to motivate children and for an individual pupil a way to show off a skill, demonstrate artistic flair, control of a medium and individual style.

There are prizes available to Class winners and Individual Age Group winners

We are delighted that Patricia Lovett, expert, scribe and lecturer, will be again working with the panel of judges to evaluate the entries for legibility, flow, consistency, individuality, layout and tidiness. Please read the report from the 2007 competition  which gives hints and tips on how to win.  click here

Schools can read the rules and download the application form from this website. The entry checklist gives a step-by-step guide on how to enter the competition.

Good Luck!
